Holding tears
Blocking thoughts
Reacting with anger
Avoiding talks
Escaping truth
For months
Finally, all knocked
At her door.
She couldn’t unhear
The words he had just spoken
“We don’t know
How much time I have.”
The first ever embrace
Overflowing emotions
Rushing memories
Never ending arguments
Regular disagreements
Loathing thoughts
Years of blame
No nostalgic moments
Yet reality struck real hard
In spite of everything
She loved him the most
She was his shadow
He, her creator.
isn’t it sad how something tragic needs to happen for people to reunite?

It is. I have observed how we don’t really realise people’s worth in our lives until they are really gone, not necessarily dead.
