Has your blog turned out more or less as you expected or totally different?
I created this blog back in September 2014 (I don’t remember the exact date, hoping to keep a check on the notifications next month so that I can have an official birth of date of this blog) just because I was making accounts on every other social media site.
In the summer of 2015, I published the first post with the thought that I would keep my identity anonymous while sharing my thoughts in between the lines of poems. I did that!
Eventually, I moved to sharing prose too, writing more openly about my thoughts. I shared photos and a lot more about my personal life. Initially hesitant about the changes, I began to accept them with open arms and now, I look forward to explore what more I can do.
Randomness Inked became a lot more than what I had expected it to be. It is an online journal, a sweet and safe haven for me.
How has your blog evolved? How have you evolved with your blog?

In response to Dr Tanya’s Blogging Insights # 30 – Evolving
My blog started as one to teach biblical principles and encourage people. But, I found that my fitional stories and poems tended to get more views and likes, and people found encouragement and inspiration in them. So, now, I sometimes worry that I let God down by not fully being a Christian blog site, but then I remember that what matters are the messages of hope, in whatever form. Thank you for asking us to think on this issue. It brought clarity for me.

It’s the message that matters, not its form. I’m glad the blog helped you 🙂

I can relate to your experience. In the beginning I remained anonymous too .

Were you using a penname? What prompted you to share your identity?

It wasn’t a pseudonym, just the name of my blog : Salted Caramel.
When people started addressing me as Salted, I thought it was better to use my name.
