Music Month May #4 Kal Ho Na Ho

Apinder has come up with Music Month (May) challenge where we share a song and give an insight into why we like it.

My fourth pick is Kal Ho Na Ho‘s title track.

Singer: Sonu Nigam
The movie stars SRK (Aman) alongside Preity Zinta (Naina) and Saif Ali Khan (Rohit).

Listen to it:

Life is changing every moment
Sometimes there is shade, sometimes there is sunshine in life
Live here every moment
Tomorrow may never come
Life is changing every moment
Sometimes there is shade, sometimes there is sunshine in life
Live here every moment
Tomorrow may never come
Even if somebody likes you wholeheartedly
It’s difficult to have them
Someone like this who is somewhere
They are the only one who are beautiful
Hold that hand
Tomorrow may never come
Live here every moment
Tomorrow may never come
Ho.. Taking help of the eyelashes
If someone comes close to you
No matter if you try to convince your crazy heart a million times
It will beat
But think what is there in this moment
That tale may not be there tomorrow
Life is changing every moment
Sometimes there is shade, sometimes there is sunshine in life
Live here every moment
Tomorrow may never come
Live here every moment
Tomorrow may never come
Tomorrow may never come

This song makes me cry every time I hear it because I imagine Aman teaching Naina how to live in the moment. My heart breaks every time I hear Aman saying ‘Kal Ho Na ho (Tomorrow may never come)’. It’s hard to accept that there was no tomorrow for him.

  1. Great song. This is probably one of the few Hindi movies I watched in the cinemas. All I remember about this movie (other than this song, of course) is a group of girls in the row behind us literally crying out loud towards the end of this movie.
