I am enthusiastic… A to Z 2020

E for enthusiastic

A year ago (minus three days) I had begun a new chapter of my life. I was unsure about the path I was going to walk. It wasn’t nervousness, it was a doubt whether I chose the right path or not. I knew I won’t be able to tell if I didn’t try it. All I could tell myself was this: Let’s adjust with one thing because this decision is giving you everything else.

Today, I am glad I grabbed the opportunity that came my way. What I thought could mean a compromise in the future, turned out to be a liberating outlet.

As things finally started
To fall in place for me,
I didn’t waste any time
And chose my happiness
Once again.
Things that were meant for me
Came to me on their own
And the things that I wanted
I took a step forward
In their direction.
I am sure that
The future holds surprises for me,
Instead of being worried about them,
I am excited to meet them.

      3. Then I have a quick question– how much time do you spend in a day (or week) on your book?

      4. When I started writing my early drafts it was 30mins a day during the week and maybe an hour on Saturday and Sunday. It became harder as time went on because of family commitments. But last year I made a real big push to get it to beta stage. Make a start, keep jotting and writing. Tip is keep a separate notebook. I wrote my first draft by hand. But because it was by hand I found it easier as had no Internet distraction.

      5. Do you mean you did the first edit on paper? How? Were you like writing while leaving one line in between every line you wrote in?

      6. Looks like I am half oldie and half newbie 😛
Would love to write on paper but can’t handle that mess of adding idhar udhar. I need everything in flow 😀

  1. I really like this part:

“The future holds surprises for me,
Instead of being worried about them,
I am excited to meet them”.

It relates to my current state of mind. It gives me light to believe that the future is good. That I have nothing to worry about. That I’ll manage to deal with it. Future is an opportunity we wait for every day.

    1. Yes, we’ll manage to deal with it. I’m glad my words could give you some hope 🙂
Are you feeling unsettled because of the coronavirus situation?

      1. I don’t watch news after work! (I am a journalist.) I keep myself focused on positive news even at this time, thanks to the genre I report.
Apart from that blogging is helping. And they’ve brought back our childhood back on TV. So, we’re watching the shows from the late 80s and 90s 😀
