A letter to my present self


Dear Present Me

I don’t know why everybody is panicking but you am not. Is the world mad or are you? You have stepped out of the house just once since the evening of 13th. And now, we finally have a nationwide complete lockdown for 21 days. I don’t know if you should be happy about it or not.

I am happy about not having the 10 mins travel hassle. But then I know when it would be time to go back to the office, it’s going to be difficult for you.

I am happy that you are spending more time blogging and writing and thinking. But don’t forget to write those assignments.

This weekend, you took out time to breathe. You even managed to watch two movies. Good job!

Next weekend, read something. Get those crayons out from the almirah, grab some colorful pens and sheets to draw. Fill colours in the Mandala book.

Let’s sit more in the garden. You won’t get to experience it once the infection is gone.

Take deep breaths whenever you feel like you are consuming too much of the news. Shut it down, exactly in the same way you did it yesterday.

    1. Yes, it’s time to stay calm and Not panic.
      Saand ki aankh and war. They were broadcasting them on the tv. I wouldn’t take the pains to go to the theatre, you know that 😂😂

    1. Important things tend to take a sideline when the quarantine is indefinite, but yes, you are right, I should start working on them again. Thanks for the reminder 🙂

      1. It happens 🙂 Hopefully, they won’t get there anymore 🙂 Yes, until now all’s good at my end too, but I really pay attention to avoid any unnecessary risk. Especially that I’ll be delivering a baby soon 🙂 How about you? How do you organize your time in this new situation?

        I am on my 16th day of social distancing, though the lockdown started on Wednesday. Staying at home has made me lose the sense of time.

    I hope that you and your family are doing well in these tough times. Indeed, I feel like I consume too much of news and it makes me anxious when thinking about the future. However, since I’m used to repeating “always expect the best”, I need to apply it first to myself.

    I think that the only positive outcome of this situation is that we have more time to write!
