You won’t understand

paper boat.jpg

To “The Kid”

English Translation (And again, I couldn’t do justice to the Hindi words but still..)

To “The Kid”

You won’t understand

What do I explain to you

When I myself don’t know

Still, I’ll give it a try once

You were like the rains of Mumbai

I was some boat of paper

You only taught me how to swim

You were like the first ray of the Sun

I was some storm of the night

You only taught me to stay calm

You were like the morning newspaper

I was some unaware and unknown person

You only made me come face to face with life

You were like the blowing breeze

I was some scared kite

You only showed me the way to sky

Understood?

I knew!

How would you understand?

If you are reality then I am a dream

You are right but I am not wrong

We are the two sides of a coin

Who are incomplete without each other

How do I make you understand

Okay, let me try once again

  1. Beautiful. I loved the words “I will give it a try once” and then at the end “okay I will give it a try again”. Love is trying over and over again…never just once. ❤

    1. Thankyou so much. 🙂
Sometimes it’s only about expressing love and care for people to make them understand their worth in our lives.

    1. Yeah. We got a lot to learn from people of different age, other backgrounds and lifestyles. It won’t be much of a learning if we restrict ourselves within a community of people similar to us.
