Broken Frame

A gush of contrasting emotions

Surrounded me

It felt like a trespasser

On a stranger’s property

But as I entered

A feeling of nostalgia

Engulfed me

I heard laughter

Hers and mine

The door creaked

When I opened the first room

On the right

All was covered

Under deep dusty layers

I scanned the room

Everything was there

As it was years ago

A broken frame

On the floor

Caught my sight

I wiped off its dirt

Two best friends

In black and white
