(II)
I was a budding flower.
Yes, you heard me right.
I was.
I’ll tell you
What I mean.
It was almost time for blooming.
They forgot that I was
To be exposed to sunlight.
What remains today
Is only a lifeless body.
I’m still a part of the plant
Which because of me
Would have been called beautiful
By everyone.
But because of me,
The plant is rejected
By everyone.
I am a corpse.
Read Who is she? (I)
Read Who is she? (III)
Read Who is she? (IV)
So sad. Full of pain.
Well written, though.

Did you have a real context in mind while writing it?
Beautiful poem, but would love to hear any connections if you have any 🙂
Also I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Please accept.

There is always a real connection to whatever all of us write. We take contexts from our life experiences, whatever we read in books, know about other people’s lives and see in our surroundings and in the world as a whole. So yes, there are real connections here and there.
Could you relate the poem with yourself, even if in bits and pieces?
Thanks a tonne for considering me for the award. I’ve a couple of award application posts pending. Planning to do them one (or maybe two) every weekend. Will notify you as soon as respond. Thankyou, once again! 💕

Yeah the poem speaks to me about how worthy you are in other people’s lives and whether the understand your worth. I liked it. You’re most welcome 🙂

Beautiful! I had to read it several times due to its depth. I was captivated by trying to figure out the answer..like it was a riddle of sorts, a certain flower part… now I have go back and read part I. 😊

You are so welcome! My name is Maggie. I loved part 1 and the only answer I found was the obvious…she is a flower. It is such a beautiful flowing concept and I look forward to the 3rd installment! You really have a gift Saumya! 🙂

Another strongly put together poem. I love the straightfowardness in your poems, if you get what I mean 🙂 It’s like you aren’t beating around the bush and saying exactly what needs to be said! ❤
