Reading Wrap-Up 2017

wrap up 2017

With only a week left for the new year, I thought of wrapping up 2017 by listing some popular pieces which are my favourites too (in no particular order). Click on the titles to read them.

“I’ll always be there with you”, a promise made to a dear friend because it is hard to find true friendship. But I am lucky to have found one.

A short piece in Hindi. A yearning for something that was lost long back.

People have many faces.  They are different with different people. This poem talks about a mysterious face.

I started a series of writings called Mulakaatein in June. These are accounts of meetings with some random and not-so-random souls who have made a change in my life. I decided to pen them down because I couldn’t afford to keep them in my memory to let them fade away with time.

Run is the first Mulakaat. A meeting I had with myself one day. Talking about the busy schedules and running, you will be forced to ask yourself some existential questions.

This is the third Mulakaat. This post talks about that day of the year when I understood a lot about myself and the society I live in.

This is the nineth Mulakaat with a stranger who made me ask myself the question ,”Who is disabled?”

This is the twelfth Mulakaat. It is an account of the day when I was hurt deeply because I was asked by a mother to beat her child for misbehaving in class.

The tenth Mulakaat. It was the day when I felt that my hardwork actually made an impact in a child’s life.

Some questions asking you to overcome your fears so that years later you don’t regret that you didn’t take that chance today.

This poem sums up whatever I write. All my blogs are different, yet they are similar in some way as I leave a part of me in my words.

Merry Christmas!

Happy reading!

  1. That is a great idea for a post. The two weeks (more or less) around Christmas/ New Year are rather busy for me, so I did not really post during that time, but I might to try and carve out some time to do this before the end of the year. Thanks!
